Maryellen Myers, a lifelong resident of Charlestown who has lived in Somerville for the past few years, died on Friday, December 11, 2009, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston following a courageous fight with cancer. She was 47 years old.
Maryellen was born in Boston and grew up in Charlestown where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1980.
Maryellen is the devoted mother of Ellenmarie McCann. She is the loving fiance of Joseph F. Jasset, Jr. She is the beloved daughter of the late Philip and Helen (O'Neil) Myers. She is the devoted sister of Philip Myers, Jr., and his fiance Kathleen Kacvinsky, Paul Myers and his wife Ann, Karen Scales and her husband John all of Charlestown and the late Patrick Myers. She is the loving aunt of 12 nieces and nephews and 7 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Maryellen's Funeral on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren Street, Charlestown, at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Visiting hours will be on Monday, December 14, 2009, from 4 to 8 p.m.
