Leo A. Guay, 74, of Westport died unexpectedly, Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was husband of the late Claire D. (Rivard) Guay and the husband of Doris J. (St. Jean) Donnelly-Guay.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Alfred J. and Irene (Plante) Guay, he had lived in Westport for the past 45 years. Mr. Guay was a carpenter for Local 1305 of Fall River. He was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. An avid craftsman, he also loved music.
Including his wife, survivors include 2 sons: Andrew E. Guay of Lakeville and Christopher A. Guay of Paulsbo, WA; 2 daughters: Susan D. Boutin of Somerset and Patricia Benson-Rosenzweig of CO; 5 grandchildren: Alisha, Tyler, Amanda, Kayla and Deidre; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Oscar Guay.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, November 16, 2009 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Sunday 1 - 4 P.M.
Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Westport.
