Elizabeth A. (Bowers) Potter, 88, of Westport passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Southpointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Fall River. She was wife of the late Robert S. Potter.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Thomas and Annie (Pedder) Bowers, she had lived in Westport since 1945. Prior to retirement in 1973, she was a sewing machine operator at Harlee Manufacturing in Fall River and Kenneth Dress in Fall River.
Survivors include a son: Thomas J.J. Potter of Swansea; a sister: Shirley G. Mailloux of NC; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Thomas, Harold, William, Joseph, John and Robert Bowers, Alice Comstock, Etta Renaud and Faith A. Simpson.
Arrangements will be private.
