BRISTOL … Rita I. (Brodeur) Pratt, 91, of Bristol, RI died June 6, 2009 after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Fall River the daughter of the late Henry and the late Alma (Caron) Brodeur and had lived in Tiverton since 1951. She was the wife of the late Bertrand E. Pratt.
She had been employed as an assistant to the director for Tiverton Senior Center. She was in charge of Meals on Wheels in Tiverton during the 1980’s and had previously been a bookkeeper. Survivors include 2 sons: Paul E. Pratt of Tiverton RI, and Brian Pratt of W. Warwick RI, a daughter: Diane Dupont of Centerville, MA, 2 sisters: Laura Fortino of Dartmouth, MA and Doris Wright of Spring Hill, FL. She was the grandmother of Kevin Dupont of Dennisport, MA and Karen Daniels of Hyannis, MA. She was the sister of the late Leo Brodeur, the late Wilfred Brodeur, the late Jeannette Sokoloff and the late Lauretta Lachance.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday June 13, 2009 at 9 am at SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am at St. Christopher’s Church Main Rd Tiverton, RI. Entombment immediately following at Notre Dame Cemetery Fall River, Ma. Calling Hours will be Friday June 12, 2009 from 4-7pm at South Coast Funeral Home.
