BROCKTON Maria Carey Lallemand (Grande), died Wednesday May 20, 2009, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was 54 years of age. She was the wife of Jacques Lallemand. She was born in Beverly and was the of daughter Ethelmay (Cormier) Grande of New Port Richey, FL and the late Alfred J. Grande. She also leaves behind her step mother Mary F. Grande of Bradenton, Florida. She was a long standing member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in West Bridgewater where she was the Religious Education Director. She also served on the Board of Director’s for the Brockton Visiting Nurses Association. In addition, she served as Vice Chairperson of the Charity Guild Food Pantry and Thrift Shop in Brockton. She leaves two children, Tara Sousa and her husband Michael Sousa of Taunton and Richard Carey and his fiancée Christine Fitting of Taunton, along with two step son’s; Rodolphe Lallemand and his wife Molly of Seattle, Washington, and Samuel Lallemand of Revere. Also, she leaves behind ten wonderful grandchildren; Joseph Sousa, Sara Sousa, Isabella Sousa, Rebecca Carey, Madison Carey, Caleb Carey, Ciera Lallemand, Jaden Lallemand, Brenna Kucinski and Kaitlyn Kucinski. In addition, she leaves behind ten brothers and sisters. Michael Grande of New Port Richey, Florida, Patrick Grande of Palmetto, Florida, Rose Green of New Port Richey Florida, Joseph Grande of Chelmsford, Stephen Grande of Brockton, Mark Grande of New Port Richey, Florida, Donna LaFlower of Brockton, Tina Pranskus of Brockton, Cindy Sprague of Brockton and John Grande of Bridgewater. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, great nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Friday 4-8 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10a.m. in St. Ann’s Parish, 103 North Main Street, West Bridgewater. Burial will be at the Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Maria may be made to the Charity Guild Food Pantry and Thrift Shop, 501 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301 or the Brockton Visiting Nurses Association, 500 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA 02301.
