Luca D’Angelo, 88, passed away at the Tippet Hospice House in Needham on May 14th, 2009. He was born in Orsogna, Italy on June 23rd, 1920 to his parents Nicolo and Francesca (Mastrocola) D’Angelo. Luca was a resident of Everett for 53 years before moving to Longmeadow Place in Burlington 4 years ago. He worked as a Laborer for Union Local 22 for many years, retiring in 1986. Luca was a member of the Sons of Orsogna Club in Everett for many years. He enjoyed gardening and was always eager to lend a helping hand. He is survived by his children, Frances Halvorsen and her husband Gary of Burlington, Janet M. D’Angelo of Scituate, formerly of Winchester and Lisa D’Angelo and her husband John Bionelli of Arlington; and by his grandchildren, Nicole, Nadia, Tania and Sophie. Luca was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Morsechi) D’Angelo and by his siblings Maria, Dominic, Antonio and Rocco D’Angelo. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Tuesday May 19th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday May 18th from 4-8 PM.
