Shirley (Kaulback) Hurd, 92, of Manchester died April 3, 2009 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Malden, MA on February 23, 1917, she was the daughter of Ralph and Bertha (Coffin) Kaulback.
She grew up in Malden and graduated from Northeastern University. She then lived many years in Melrose, MA and Topsfield, MA. She later moved to New Hampshire and lived in Bedford, Laconia and Manchester.
She was married to William Hurd who died in 1982.
IN HER LIFE: The family includes four sons, Bill Hurd of Sagamore Beach, MA, John Hurd of Amherst, Dick Hurd of Newbury and Doug Hurd of Marblehead, MA; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a nephew, Jeff Prentice of Florida, and a niece, Nancy Hallock of New York
SERVICES: A memorial service is Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 11 am at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. Private burial is at Bedford Center Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
