Obituary

Mark E. Lucius ("Loosh") of Lakeville, formerly of Bridgewater, died suddenly on February 2nd. He was 38 years old. Mark grew up in Bridgewater and was a graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham High School. He earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from UMass Lowell class of 92'. Since graduating from college Mark had been employed by Tech Built General Contractors of West Bridgewater as an Operations Manager, where he was fortunate to work with his Dad and other talented tradesmen. Mark met the love of his life, Robin, through mutual friends and they married in 1996. A skilled craftsman, he built his family home in Lakeville. He made lasting memories with his family, two of his fondest being vacationing at Lake Winnipesauke and riding roller coasters with his children at Hershey Park. Mark also enjoyed watching his children participate in various sports and activities and was honored to coach his son's baseball team. Known as easy-going, fun-loving and always willing to lend a helping hand, his infectious smile was loved by all. Mark considered himself fortunate to have experienced lasting friendships with many of his high school buddies. Mark was an avid Boston sports fan and a Patriots season ticket holder since the early 90s. Mark's passion for sports made him a very competitive golfer who loved the game. He loved playing golf with his Dad and friends in the Friday Night League and on trips to Myrtle Beach and Phoenix. In honor of his grandparents' longstanding tradition, Mark and Robin hosted the annual "Lucius Family Labor Day Bash," which always included the egg toss competition and Mark's favorite sweet, Gram's homemade whoopie pies. He is survived by his wife Robin L. (LaPorte) Lucius. Mark was the proud and loving father of Sarah M., Zachary A., and Gabrielle M. all of Lakeville. He was the caring son of Paul V. Jr. and Mary A. (McLaughlin) Lucius of Bridgewater. Loving brother of Kimberly L. Wallace and her husband Robert and Kathryn A. La Rose and her husband Keith, all of Bridgewater and brother-in-law of Melissa S. Burgess and her husband Jason of Plymouth and Rebecca M. Paul of Charlestown. Grandson of Marion E. and the late Paul V. Lucius Sr. of West Brookfield.
