Lorraine Therese (Rudack) (O’Brien) (Fitzgerald) Sullivan, 74, of Bridgewater, died January 30, 2009 after a brief illness. Lorraine was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family and grandchildren very much.
Raised in South Boston, she was a graduate of Girl’s High School and The University of Massachusetts, Boston, and was a retired New England Telephone Company employee.
Lorraine raised her family in Braintree, wintered in St. Petersburg FL, and settled in Bridgewater. She loved spending time with her family and friends on Corporation Beach on Cape Cod.
Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her husband, William J. Sullivan, Jr., her children and their spouses Lorraine and Kenneth Leitch, Victoria and William Wessel, Norman and Natalie Fitzgerald, Paula and Damon Reinold; her stepchildren and their spouses William and Doris Sullivan, Jean and John Murray, Jane and David Frost, Kathleen and Kevin Hanwell, James and Stephanie Sullivan, and Thomas and Kathryn Sullivan; her 23 grandchildren, and her aunt and uncle Stella and Arthur Kelley. She was the daughter of the late Victoria T. (Rudack) O’Brien, wife of the late Norman C. Fitzgerald and sister of the late Dorothy Johnston.
A Funeral mass will be held on Friday, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center Street, Bridgewater MA 02324 (please specify for food or heat).
