Hooksett– Walter F. “Fred” Blackman, 68, died January 21, 2009 at his home following a brief illness.
He was born in Dunbarton on December 25, 1940 the son of Henry A. and Shirley (Geddes) Blackman.
Prior to his retirement he worked for the housekeeping department at the Mall of NH.
He enjoyed watching old westerns.
Family members include his wife Christine Saindon of Hooksett, one son Jason Saindon of Manchester, one daughter Justine Saindon of Hooksett, 2 grandchildren, eight brothers Donald Ballam of Prattsburg, NY, James Ballam Sr. of Manchester, John Ballam of Prattsburg, NY, Henry Blackman of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Thomas Blackman, Stanley Blackman both of Manchester, Bruce Blackman of Stockton, KS., James Blackman of Concord and one sister Bonnie Blackman of NY.
Services: A memorial reception will take place on Tuesday from 6 to 8pm in J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home 110 Bridge St. Services will be at 7 pm during the reception.
