Dennis C. Motta, 94, of Tiverton, RI passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at home. He was husband of the late Belma O. (Manchester) Motta.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Antone and Antonia (Souza-Moniz) Motta, he had lived in Tiverton for most of his life. A WWII veteran, he served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Motta was the owner/operator of Danny’s Service Station in Tiverton and prior to retirement, he was a foreman for a fuel tanking company.
Survivors include a son: Kenneth Motta of Tiverton; a brother: Lionel Motta of Daly City, San Francisco, CA; 2 sisters: Rosalina Cabral of Fall River and Leona Holt of Tiverton; 2 grandchildren: Eric Motta and Kristine Constantino; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Antone Motta, Mary Arruda and Emilia Medeiros.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, January 16, 2009 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.

Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.
