Jesup- Joseph Sheryl Rentz, age 57, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 at his residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. He was a native of Jeff Davis County living the past fifty years in Wayne County. He was the owner of Ad Graphic Concepts, Jesup Office Products, Canoochee Creek of Hinesville, and Press- Express of Statesboro.
He was preceded in death by his father J.E. Rentz and a brother, Jerry Malone Rentz.
Surviving is his wife: Elaine Donahue Rentz of Jesup; one daughter: Fonda and husband Jay Davis of Jesup; two granddaughters: Allie and Kate Davis of Jesup; mother: Wenomae Rentz of Jesup; three brothers: Larry and wife Judy Rentz of Brunswick, Dail and wife Linda Rentz of Hiawasse, and Kim and wife Janis Rentz of Brunswick, one sister: Gail and husband Junior Rice of Jesup; sister-in-law: Nora Rentz of Saint Simons Island and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 2 pm from the Unity Church of God with Reverend George Moxley, Reverend Stanley Todd and Reverend Eric Rentz officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 117 Drennon Drive, Jesup GA 31545.
Active Pallbearers will be Richard Dear, Jimmy Collins, John Carter, Joe Warren, J.B. Rentz, and Merryell Rentz.
