Theresa Y. "Terry" (Caron) Bourassa, age 74, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 at Lowell General Hospital after an extended illness. For 53 years, she was the beloved wife of Paul A. Bourassa.
She was born in Lowell on August 5, 1934, the daughter of the late Albert and Alida (Savard) Caron. Terry was a lifelong resident of Lowell and a communicant of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality. She recently attended St. Margaret Parish.
Terry enjoyed reading, making puzzles and baking, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family. She was known by many for "flipping the burgers" in the kitchen during the parish bingo at Notre Dame de Lourdes.
Besides her husband,she is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Lorraine and Roy Corbeil of Dracut, Doris "Dot" and Ronald Richards of Lowell, Diane St. Pierre of Dracut and Paula Tasch of Lawrence; a son, Paul E. Bourassa of Lowell; a brother and sister-in-law, Maurice and Theresa Caron of Lowell; two brothers-in-law, Normand Langlois and Julien Goupil both of Lowell; two sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Sullivan of Pepperell and Georgette Legere and her husband Ernest of Tyngsboro; seven grandchildren, Alan, Rebecca and Philip Corbeil, Christopher and Timothy Richards and Peter and Allison Tasch; two great grandchildren, Rachel Lodge and Parker Corbeil; also many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Denise Bourassa, sister of the late Roland and Alfred Caron, Florence Langlois and Rita Goupil and mother-in-law of the late Alfred "Al" Tasch.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Friday, Jan. 2 from 4 to 8pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 9:30am at St. Margaret Church. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Those who wish may make contributions in Terry's memory to a charity of their own choice.
