Albert C. Cirone

Albert C. Cirone, a lifelong Woburn resident , passed away at his home, Sunday evening, December 28, surrounded by his caring family. He was the husband of the late Catherine (Duran) who died thirty-nine years ago.
Born in Woburn he was the son of Philomena (Bettina) and Alfonso Cirone. He was a graduate of Woburn High School Class of 1951. Albert was the founder of A.C. Cirone & Sons a Drilling and Blasting company now being operated by his sons. Albie as he was known by his family and friends was an active member of the Woburn Lions Club and was the recipient of the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for his Dedicated Humanitarian Services, he also served as the Halloween parade marshal and on several other Lion committees. Albert loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed gardening and hunting as a pastime.

In addition to his late wife he is predeceased by his four sisters Elvera and Josephine Cirone, Lucy Masotta and Mary Gangi and three brothers Emilio, Frank and Daniel Cirone.
Surviving are his four daughters, Carol Cirone, Donna Cusato and her husband Michael, Barbara Cirone and Larry Kirk, all of Woburn, Katherine Newhall and her husband Scott of No. Reading. Three sons Albert Cirone and his wife Janet, Stephen Cirone and his wife Jodi of Woburn and Ed Cirone and his wife Nancy of No. Reading. Also twelve loving grandchildren. A sister Rose Buonarosa of Woburn and his brother in laws John Masotta of Woburn and Roderick MacDonnell of Winchester and his loving companion Lorraine Dunnett of Woburn.

His funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, on Wednesday, December 31 at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church 280 Main St. Woburn at 9.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
