Hazel Beatrice Shaw Fulton, 89, Clarksville, died Monday, December 29, 2008, at Montgomery Care and Rehab Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. John Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born January 10, 1919 in Thomasville, TN daughter of the late Jesse W. Shaw and Lillian Morris Shaw. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erie Clayton (Pete) Fulton, a son, Phillip Clayton Fulton, a daughter, Barbara Fulton Vaughan, four brothers, Dudley, Herman, Raymond, and Morris Shaw, and a sister, Jewell. Mrs. Fulton was a homemaker and a very talented seamstress. She was an avid reader, collected bells and enjoyed visits from her family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church for sixty five years. Survivors include a son, E. Shaw Fulton (Polly), Joelton, TN; two daughters, Pat Fulton Soulier, Brentwood, MO; and Linda Fulton Shephard (Gary), Clarksville; a sister, Elsie Stagner age 92, Port Charlotte, FL; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Brandon Davis, Jeff Soulier, Dennis Vaughan, Jr., John Shephard, Gary Shephard, Jr. and great nephew, Chris Byrd.
