Edward F. Payson, 49, of Chester, NH, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at his home. Mr. Payson was born in El Paso, TX on April 3, 1959, a son of Robert and Lucy (Sealey) Payson. He was a resident of Chester for 10 years, formerly living in Hooksett, NH. Mr. Payson was employed as a clerk for the US Postal Service in Hudson, NH. He served for four years with the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Payson enjoyed photography, hunting, fishing and the outdoors and was a championship marksman. He was a member of the Chester Rod and Gun Club, Ducks Unlimited and the NRA. He treasured his time being Bampa and playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle (Gosselin) Payson of Chester, two sons, Edward Payson and Garrett Payson, both of Derry, NH, a daughter, Jenifer LaPierre of Raymond, NH, two grandchildren, Logan LaPierre and Alayna LaPierre, his parents, Robert and Lucy Payson of Inverness, FL, two sisters, Bobbie-Jeanne Wheeler and her husband Richard of Canaan, NH, Kelley Stewart and her husband Jason of Inverness, FL, two brothers, Brian Payson and his wife Laurel of Chester, William Payson and his wife Kim of Londonderry, NH, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a nephew, Brian Robert Payson in 2001.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation a celebration of his life was held on Sunday December 28, 2008 at 1:00pm at his home at 780 Fremont Rd., Chester. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The NRA Foundation, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030.
