Armindo Geraldes, age 76 of Fall River since 1971, when he moved from Toronto, Canada. Passed away December 11, 2008. Former husband of Maria Olivia (Dias Pereira) Geraldes. Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Manuel Joaquim and Angelina (Tavares) Geraldes. Before retiring, he was a masonry contractor.
Besides his former wife, he is survived by: 4 Children: Joseph M. Geraldes & his wife Joan Marie of Swansea, Idalina Geraldes of Swansea, Armanda Geraldes & Angelina Geraldes both of Fall River. 1 Brother: Agustinho Medeiros of Toronto, Ont., Canada. 4 Grandchildren: Theresa Lee, Jennifer Lee, David John, and Olivia Eva Marie. Many beloved nieces & nephews. He was also brother of the late Theresa Gouveia, Joaquim, Jose, & Antone Geraldes, and Manuel De Medeiros.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Monday at 11:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 12:00 P.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 3-7 PM.
