Bedford- Serge Y. Marquis, 59 died October 16, 2008 at Integrated Health Care after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Colebrook, NH on August 5, 1949 the son of Oscar and Aurore (Chaloux) Marquis and had been a resident of this community for many years.
He served in the US Marine Corps and held membership in the American Legion Post 200. He was a great carpenter and owned SJS Home Improvement.
Members of his family include his wife Gail (George) Marquis of Bedford, 2 sons, Jason Marquis and his wife Robyn of Goffstown, Scott Marquis of Manchester, 3 grandchildren, Christian Marquis, of Goffstown, Jordan Marquis, of Manchester, Camryn Marquis, of Goffstown, 4 brothers Yves Marquis, and his wife Helene, of Manchester, Guy Marquis, and his wife Pierrette, of Clarksville, Louis Marquis, of Beecher Falls, VT., Andre Marquis, of Colebrook, 2 sisters Mrs. Donald (Simone) Biron, of Clarksville, Mrs. Allan (Ginette) Ladd, of Canaan VT.., several loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by 1 sister Mary Marquis, and 2 brothers Yvon and Donald Marquis.
He was an amazing, hard working husband, father, grandfather. Taking care of his family was most important to him. He loved his dogs especially his Alex and Kaylee.
Services: Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 8 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home 110 Bridge St. Funeral services will take place at 7 pm in the funeral home.
