Funeral services for Mr. Clarence A. Cleghorn, Sr., 90, of Irwin County, GA. will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Sycamore, GA. Mr. Cleghorn passed away Thursday in Fitzgerald following a sudden illness.

The son of the late Jacob Alexander and Polly Rachel Walker Cleghorn he was born in Irwin Co., GA. and was a member of the Arp Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and loved fishing. He was a resident of Turner and Irwin Counties all of his life.

Survivors include his children, Elise C. Evans, Irwinville, GA, Polly C. Hogan, Irwinville, GA, Louise C. Murphy, Augusta, GA, Clarance Cleghorn, Jr., and Aaron Cleghorn both of Tifton, GA, Charles Cleghorn, Ashburn, GA, Alex Cleghorn, Youngsville, NC, Ricky Cleghorn, Sycamore, GA and Robert Cleghorn, Pineville, LA; eighteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Odette Fowler, Stockbridge, GA.
