Ella B Binkley,beloved mother and grandmother was welcomed home by Jesus,, Clarksville, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, after a prolonged illness. The funeral will be held at 11am Monday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am until 4pm Sunday and from 9am until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Ella B was born in Dickson County July 20, 1922 to the late Brake and Minnie Warfield Hassell, the youngest of nine children. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Binkley in 1994. She was the bookkeeper for their business, B&B Dry Cleaners, from 1948 until it sold in 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers Gene and Floyd Hassell and sisters, Mary A. Hassell, Cordie James, Jewell Davis and Wilda Hickerson. Mrs. Binkley was an active member of First Baptist Church Clarksville where she had taught the Friedship Sunday School Class.
Survivors include one son Bill Binkley and his wife Nebbie, and three grandsons, Sam, Will and Daniel Binkley, all of Clarksville. She is also survived by her sister Madeline Lyle (Clarksville) and brother C.E. "Toad" Hassell (Cookeville). Pallbearers will be Bill Binkley, Sam Binkley, Will Binkley, Daniel Binkley Michael Meadows and Joey Hassell. Great nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers,
