Philip P. McMillan, 57, of Derry, NH died Sunday May 18, 2008 in Derry. Mr. McMillan was born in Boston, MA on October 29, 1950, a son of the late Thomas and Isobel (Millar) McMillan. He had resided in Derry for the past 20 years, formerly living in Everett, MA where he was a 1968 graduate of Everett High School. He later served with the US Army Reserves. Mr. McMillan was employed as a sheet metal mechanic for Raytheon Corp. in Andover, MA for 30 years. He was a member of the Chester Rod and Gun Club, Chester, NH.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Gail L. (Rocci) McMillan of Derry, two sons, Bryan McMillan and Michael McMillan both of Derry, three brothers, John McMillan of Andover, MA, Thomas McMillan of Peabody, MA, Leo McMillan of Wakefield, MA, two sisters, Evelyn Sutera of Gloucester, MA and Jeanne Mattuchio of Braintree, MA. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10:00am on Wednesday May 21, 2008 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, NH Affiliate, P.O. Box 31160, Hartford, CT 06150-1160. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling arrangements.
