Clinton Paul "Coach" Pina, 48, of East Freetown died Monday May 12, 2008 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Evelyn (Barros) Vieira of New Bedford and Clinton P. Pina of Mashpee, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
Mr. Pina was formerly employed as a machine operator for Titleist.
Survivors include his mother and father; his life companion, Bonnie Coderre of New Bedford; two sons, Clinton Pina, III and Jamaal Pina, both of New Bedford; four brothers, Steven Pina and John Pina, both of New Bedford, Randall Pina of Dartmouth, and Paul Pina of Osterville; two sisters, Darnell Jones of Rehoboth and Denise Tevenal of Reading, PA; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. His Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 9 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford.
