LOWELL—Lucille A. (Lauzon) Gavin, 85 years old, a longtime resident of Lowell and more recently of Dracut, died unexpectedly Tuesday May 6th, at Saints Medical Center. She was the wife of the late James C. Gavin, who died in March of 1982.
She was born in Newmarket, NH, on July 11, 1922, a daughter of the late Thomas and Jenny (Daignault) Lauzon, and was educated in Newmarket, NH Schools. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Surviving her are her eight children and their spouses: Geraldine J. Gavin, of Dracut, with whom she resided; Marie A. and Dennis Barker, of Tyngsboro; James C. and June Gavin, of Deerfield, NH; Edward T. Gavin, of Lowell; Dennis P. and Robin Gavin; Sheila K. Gavin; Kevin J. and Robin Gavin; and Kenneth P. Gavin; all of Dracut; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two brothers: Douglas Lauzon, of Carver; and Thomas Lauzon, of Hanover; a sister: Joanne Lauzon, of Hull; dear friends: Mike Saber and Andrea Carr; also many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late: William J. Gavin, and sister of the late Florence and Robert Lauzon.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, May 9th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street (Rte. 38), Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, May 10th, at 11 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.
