LOWELL - Patricia J. (Taylor) Picanso, 67, a resident of Lowell, died Saturday, April 12th in her home.
She was born on June 1st, 1940, in Lowell, a daughter of the late John W. and the late Frances (Casey) Taylor. She attended Northern Essex Community College, where she earned her associates degree in sociology.
Mrs. Picanso was employed as a local home health aide for several years. Previously she was employed by the Bedford VA Hospital, where she worked as a nurses aide for many years.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren; and she loved animals. In her free time she was also an avid reader.
Mrs. Picanso is survived by two sons, Michael A. Picanso and his wife Elizabeth of Westford and David S. Picanso, Jr. and his wife Kristi Whitford of Haverhill; her brother, Robert Taylor and his wife Beverly of VT; her sister, Beatrice Donovan and her husband Arthur of E. Hartford, CT; seven grandchildren, Colleen Picanso, Kory Salunier, Courtney Picanso, Kerri Picanso, Jamie Cole, Allison Avery, and Michael Picanso, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Kaylee Pagan and Treyvon Pagan; many nephews and nieces.
She was also the sister of the late Joseph Kirane, Edward Taylor, Albert Taylor, Frederick Taylor, John Taylor, Katherine R. Hebert, and Mary Gesnaldo, and the former wife of the late David S. Picanso.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Tuesday, April 15th from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home at 9:00 AM followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Michael Church in Lowell. Cremation to follow.
