Thomas J. Bryant, III, 46, a lifelong resident of Norton died unexpectedly on Tuesday April 1, 2008 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro after being stricken ill at home. He was the love of Danielle M. Hottenrott with whom he shared the last 13 years together.
Born in Attleboro, MA on January 20, 1962 he was the beloved son of Thomas J. and Kathleen “Kay” (Sullivan) Bryant, Jr. of Conway, New Hampshire.
He grew up in Norton, was educated in Norton public schools and was a 1980 graduate of Norton High School. He furthered his studies at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and graduated in 1985 where he majored in Art and Art History.
Tommy was a self-employed building contractor and artist. He was a great writer and illustrator, a fine artist and sculptor and was an extremely intuitive person.
Marching to his own beat, Tommy was a free spirited person who was always the leader and never a follower. He enjoyed the outdoors, walks in the woods and hiking. He loved children and held a special place in his heart for animals.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton he also enjoyed gardening and cooking. He was happiest of all to share laughter and friendship with everyone.
In addition to his beloved parents and his Fiancé Danielle he was the devoted brother of David A. Bryant of Norton, Steven W. Bryant and his wife Kim of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire and Karen L. Bryant Connolly of Dover, New Hampshire. He was the cherished grandson of Minnie Vota of Conway, New Hampshire and the late Thomas J. and Mary (Benaski) Bryant, Sr. He was the adoring uncle to 6 nieces and 7 nephews. Also surviving are his aunts, uncles, cousins and the loving family of Danielle
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday April 7th at 9:30 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church South Worcester St. Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday April 6th from 5-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Tommy’s family has requested that donations please be made in his memory be made to The Thomas J. Bryant, III Scholarship Fund P.O. Box 501 Norton, MA 02766.
