Alice F. Mahon, 88, of Melrose, passed away on March 22nd, 2008. She was born in Everett on June 22nd, 1919 to her parents William and Ellen (Brennick) Daly. Alice was raised in Malden and is a Graduate of Malden High School. She has been a resident of Melrose since 1950. She was a homemaker who always put the needs of her family before her own. She is survived by her husband Edward M. Mahon; her children; Edward M. Mahon Jr. and his wife Hilary of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Michael Mahon of Melrose and Patricia Halkola and her husband Stephen of Melrose; her grandchildren; Katie Wagner and her husband Matt of Denver, Colorado , Krissy Lipson and her husband Dustin of Stavenger, Norway and Tommy Mahon of New Orleans, Louisiana; her great grandchildren; Ben Wagner and Drew Lipson; and by her sister Louise McKenna of Malden. Alice is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Along with her parents, Alice was predeceased by her sisters; Helen Mahan, Florence Bretagne and Elizabeth Buckley and by her brother Morris Daly. Relatives & friends are invited to attend funeral services from the A.J. Breslin & Son Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden at Medford line on Thursday March 27th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Melrose at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Stoneham. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday March 26th from 4-8 PM.
