Claire T. (Blais) Kane 57 of Farm St. Woonsocket died Saturday Feb, 9, at the Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Alan Kane. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Juliette (Mainville) Blais.
Mrs Kane was a mental health worker for the Taunton State Hospital for 25 years before retiring this year due to illness. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and in addition to her husband she is survived by a son Jean Poirier of Woonsocket, two daughters Annette Ide of Charlestown, and Pamela Dumais of Woonsocket, a stepson Alan Kane Jr. of Woonsocket,a stepdaughter Tara Gray of Forestdale, and thirteen grandchildren. She is survived by a sister Muriel Dubois of Uxbridge, and was also the sister of the late Paul, Kenneth, and Henry Blais, Lorraine Lavimordiere, and Pauline Primeau. Visiting hours will be Sunday 4-7 pm at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 463 So. Main St.
