She confessed hope in Christ at an early age, until her death, she served as a mother of the church.
Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by two children, Harry Pruitt, Jr. and Jermani Pruitt; two sisters Bernice Sims and Lizzie M. Hereford and two brothers, William L. Hereford and Lloyd Hereford.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a husband, Harry L. Pruitt of Huntsville, Alabama; three daughters, Wilhamina McCaulley (Shelby) of Huntsville, Alabama, Barbara Munoz (Mario) of Waldorf, Maryland and LaTosha Pruitt of Huntsville, Alabama; three sons, Gerald Hereford, Gregory Hereford and Chico Pruitt all of Huntsville, Alabama; ten grandchildren all of Huntsville, Alabama; one sister, Cynthia D. Kelly (David) of Huntsville, Alabama; three brothers, Reverend Vernon Hereford (Carolyn) of Keaton, Ohio, Oliver Hereford (JoAnn), Bobby J. Hereford (Betty) both of Huntsville, Alabama; sister-in-law, Willie J. Hereford of Huntsville, Alabama; two aunts, Leslie M. Hereford and Anita Hereford both of Louisville, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mother Vashti Pruitt will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 12:00 noon from the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend William E. Carter officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Mother Pruitt will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time.
