Obituary

Stella H. (Obenisky) Wiencko, 94, died Friday at the Baypath at Duxbury after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Steven and Mary (Cruel) Obenisky Stella was born and brought up in Boston, and attended Boston Schools. She was a resident of Whitman for 36 years and 29 of those years at Harvard Court. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Church in Whitman.
Stella was a cake decorator for Montillio’s Bakery in Quincy for over 20 years.
She enjoyed going to Foxwoods, Traveling to Florida, Hawaii and California and was an avid bingo player.
Stella was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters Johanna Ledwell of East Weymouth, and Dianne Worden of Whitman, her sister Laurel King of Ipswich; also 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late William and Chester Obenisky, Agnes Karwowski, Helen Woods and Irene Kramer.
Her services will be held on Monday January 28th at 9:15 A.M. from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Inc Plymouth Street (RT 58 @ the Rotary circle) Whitman, MA. , followed by a 10:00 A.M. mass in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman, MA. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman MA. Visiting hours Sunday January 27th 6-8 P.M.
