WORCESTER-Fori Spiro, 78, of Worcester, died Wednesday, January 9th in his home. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Jeta (Shala) Spiro; a son, Cesmir Spiro and his wife Lela; a daughter, Arjana Celaj and her husband Dritan, all of Worcester; a brother, Dhimiter Spiro of Worcester; 2 sisters, Violeta Pojoni of Washington, DC and Marjeta Celi of Albania; 4 grandchildren.; and nephews and nieces.
He was born in Albania, the son of Llazari and Mangalina Spiro and moved here in 1994. While in Albania, Mr. Spiro was a supervisor of a hydropower company. He was a World War II Albanian Army veteran.
The funeral is Friday, January 11th, with a service at 10:00 A.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, January 10th from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
