Doris E. Holm, 89, of Derry, NH died September 3, 2007 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry. Raised in Enosburg Falls, VT, she was born there on August 30, 1918, a daughter of the late Oscar and Grace (Smith) Johnson. She had resided in Derry since 1935 and was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy, class of 1937. Mrs. Holm was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Derry and was a member of the Mabel Halsem Altar Guild of the church. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid bird watcher and a talented seamstress for family and friends.
She is survived by a son, Edwin A. Holm, Jr. of Londonderry, NH; a daughter, Jane Macomber of Nashua, NH; two granddaughters, Deborah Holm of Methuen, MA and Kimberly Amouzgar and her husband, Dr. Makan Amouzgar of Arlington, MA; four great grandchildren, Mia Jane Fayle, Patricia, Cameron and Kian Amouzgar; a sister, Eileen Richard of Wolfeboro, NH; and also by several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Edwin A. Holm Sr. in 1999.
There were no calling hours. Following cremation a graveside service for family and friends was held on Saturday, September 8th at 1:30 PM at Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry, NH.
