New Bedford – Anna Rose (Amaral) Benbenek, aged 78 years, died Monday, May 28, 2007 at St Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of Antoni Benbenek Jr. of S. Dartmouth. She was the mother of Gary A. Benbenek of S. Dartmouth and Jeffrey A. Benbenek, husband of Jacqueline of Lincoln, RI. Mrs. Benbenek was the grandmother of Kyle Benbenek and Connor Benbenek and the sister of Anibal Amaral of Calif.
Mrs. Benbenek was a daughter of the Joseph and Olympia B. (Mello) Amaral. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. Mrs. Benbenek was a graduate of New Bedford High School class of 1946.
Mrs. Benbenek’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., with a Funeral Mass at St. Mary Church, Padanaram Thursday at 8:30 A.M. Visiting hours are omitted.
