Blanca (Perez) DeSimone, 75, of Medway, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at her home where she has wintered for the past 10 years in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She was the beloved wife of Edwin A. DeSimone who died in 2001.
Born in Spain on June 13, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Pedro and Hermitas Perez. Mrs, DeSimone was a resident of Medway for the past 45 years.
She was a graduate of the former Girls High School in Boston and Boston University. Before her retirement, she was a lead inspector at the former Precision Metallurgical in Millis for 20 years.
An active member of the Medway Senior Center, Mrs. DeSimone loved traveling and reading and was an accomplished seamstress and a gourmet cook.
She is survived by; two sons, Peter DeSimone of Medway ad Michael DeSimone of Franklin, two daughters, Susan DeSimone of Monkton, Vermont and AnneMarie Andrews of Poughkeepsie, New York, five grandchildren, Alexandra, Forrest, Tyler, Nicole and Kaylee and a sister, Gloria Mader of Maine.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday, April 3 at 9 a.m. from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 3 Barber St. in Medway followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 151 Village Street in Medway at 10 o’clock. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6 – 9 p.m.
