Obituary

WORCESTER___Rita C. (Delonis) Margosian, of Worcester, died Sunday March 25 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 119 Belmont Street. Her husband, Anthony S. Margosian died in 1984. Her first husband, Michael D. Karpicus died in 1973.

She leaves three sons, Lt. Colonel Michael D. Karpicus, U.S.A.F. Retired and his wife Louise of Fairfax, Virgina; Thomas W. Karpicus of Shrewsbury and Joseph W. Karpicus of Vancouver, Washington; four step children, James P., Patricia A., Mary Ann and Anne M., a brother, Joseph Delonis and a sister, Christine Delonis, both of Shrewsbury; four grandchildren, Sara, Matthew, Kristyn and Gregory and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Walter and Margaret (Jankauskas) Delonis and has lived here all her life.

Mrs. Margosian was a receptionist and an account maintenance representative 20 years for New England Telephone Co. She retired many years ago. Before then she worked many years for the family business, Delonis Market. She was a graduate of Ascension High School. Rita was a member of St. Casimir Church and was a parish office volunteer. She was a fourth degree member of Council 26 Knights of Lithuania, was a member of the Lithuanian Charitable Society, the Guild of Our Lady of Providence and was a volunteer at St. Vincent Hospital.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday March 28 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, with a Mass at 12:00 NOON in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday March 27 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Members of Council 26 Knights of Lithuania will meet at 4:00 p.m. during calling hours to conduct their ritual. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence Street, Worcester, Ma 01604.
