Leo O. Pelletier, 94, of Sandown, NH, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 in his home. Mr. Pelletier was born in Derry, NH on November 28, 1912, a son of the late Henri and Marie (Bienvenue) Pelletier. He was a resident of Sandown for the past 20 years, formerly living in Derry. Mr. Pelletier was a graduate and Valedictorian of Pinkerton Academy, Class of 1930, and had served with the US Army Air Corp during WW II. He operated the Flying A Gas Station at the Derry traffic circle with his brother Rouville. Mr. Pelletier was a charter member of the Hoodkroft Golf Course in Derry and was a former member of the senior league. He was also a member of the Sixty Plus Club in Sandown. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Priscilla (Low) Pelletier of Sandown; three daughters, Jane Graham and her husband David of Lisbon, NH, Linda Greenwood and her husband Gary of Sandown, and Sandra Goodchild and her husband Alan of Derry; one son, James Pelletier and his wife Lynda of Candia, NH; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Philip Pelletier of Bedford, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 8th at 10:00am in the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. The burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Londonderry, NH, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., Northeast Affiliate, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101, or to the Rockingham VNA Hospice, 137 Epping Rd., Exeter, NH 03833. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
