Port Saint Lucie, FL - Kimberly (Troia) Moniz, 33, of Port Saint Lucie, FL, formerly of Westport passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at home. She was the wife of Thaddeus Moniz.
Born in Fall River, daughter of Jeanne (Valois) Rezendes of Port Saint Lucie, FL and the late Michael Troia, she grew up in Westport prior to moving to Port Saint Lucie in 2004. She attended the First Baptist Church in Port Saint Lucie, FL. She was working for Tender Care in Stuart, FL and had previously worked as a line cook at Ellie’s Place in Westport and LePage’s Seafood in Fall River and was a diet aide at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She attended Bristol Community College in Fall River. Kimberly enjoyed helping the needy and loved motorcycles, listening to music, drawing, walking on the beach and spending time with her Chihuahuas: Kiria, Chico and Mousie.
Including her husband of 6 years and her mother, she is survived by her maternal grandfather: Rene Valois of Fall River; paternal grandparents: Joseph and Ruth Troia; a sister: Wendy Allard of Fall River; a brother: Kevin Troia of Fall River; 2 step-sisters: Sara Troia of Englewood, FL and Michelle Silvia of Dartmouth; 4 step-brothers: Greg Borges of Taunton, Joseph Borges of Westport, Guy Borges of Westport and Michael Troia of Cranston, RI; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was the granddaughter of the late Louise Valois.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, February 12, 2007 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Sunday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
