John R. Converse, 42, of Trumbull, CT and formerly of Medway, died tragically, Thursday, February 1 from injuries he received from being in an automobile accident in Connecticut.
Born in Boston on December 23, 1964, he was a son of Alana M. (Barry) Converse of Medway and Robert S. Converse of Randolph. He was a resident of Trumbull for the past two years and formerly resided in Medway
Mr. Converse was a graduate of Medway High School, Class of 1983 and attended Westfield State College. He later graduated with honors from East Coast Aerotech in Bedford. He worked for Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation in Stratford, CT for the past two years where he built Black Hawk Helicopters.
He was an avid automotive enthusiast and was always there to help a friend in need. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his friends and his cars. In John’s sprit of giving, he was an organ donor.
Besides his parents, he is survived by; three brothers, Jeffrey G. Converse and his wife, Diane M. of Medway, Jason B. Converse and his wife, Leisa T. of Franklin and Jared W. Converse of Hyannis, two nephews, Jeffrey T. and Sean J. Converse, both of Medway and a sister-in-law, Leandra T. Olazar.
He was also survived by his many beloved friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday, February 6 at 9 AM from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 3 Barber St. in Medway followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 151 Village Street in Medway at 10 o’clock.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 – 8 p.m.
