Dennis A. Balke, 63, a longtime resident of Windham, NH and Londonderry, NH died suddenly and unexpectedly January 24, 2007 after recently retiring. He was born on October 12, 1943 and grew up in Highland Park, IL. Dennis graduated in 1966 from Drake University as a pharmacist. He had been employed as a pharmacist and district manager for Osco Drug for many years, before retiring and going on to sell real estate for Prudential Verani Realty. Dennis loved spending time in Gilford, NH as well as on Lake Winnipesaukee. He was also active in local government and volunteer work throughout his life. Dennis was an avid Patriots fan.
Dennis will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin. In addition to his wife, Claudia Balke of Londonderry; the family includes two sons, Scott Balke of Peabody, MA, and Brian Balke of New Boston, NH; three step-sons, Steve Keller of Simi Valley, CA, Robert Keller and Ronald Keller, both of Camarillo, CA; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Philip Balke of Libertyville, IL and Rick Balke of Waconda, IL; many wonderful cousins as well as nieces and nephews.
