TYNGSBORO - John C. "Happy" Harrigan, 42, a resident of Tyngsboro, died unexpectedly January 1st at his home.
He was born in Lowell on December 31, 1964, and was a son of John B. Harrigan and Helen M. (Regan) Harrigan of Tyngsboro. He was a graduate of the Greater Lowell Vocation Technical High School in Tyngsboro class of 1983.
He was formerly employed by the City of Lowell, most recently in the Parks, Recreation, and Cemetery Department.
In his free time he enjoyed camping, cooking, and an overall love for life.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister and brother-in-law Jo Ann and Robert Gitschier of Dracut; four brothers and three sisters-in-law David Harrigan of Tyngsboro, Patrick and Kathy Harrigan of Dracut, and Joseph M. and Maria Harrigan of Lowell, Christopher M. and Mary Harrigan of Medway; eight nephews and their spouses Lee and Donna Gitschier, Erik and Angela Gitschier, lowelll Danny Martin, and Jamie Gitschier, of Dracut, S. Patrick, J. Colin, S. Liam, and J. Owen Harrigan all of Medway, 3 nieces Kelsey Kasey and Kiley Harrigan, all of Lowell.
He was also the brother of the late James F. Harrigan who died in 2004.
Calling hours have been omitted. His Graveside Service will be held on Monday at 11am in Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery. Cremation was by Linwood Crematory, Haverhill.
