Obituary

SPENCER: R.Paul Bernard,56, of 89 Wilson Ave., died Saturday, Dec. 2 in
Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield after a two year struggle with a brain
tumor.
He leaves his wife of 19 years, Karen C. (Magnuson) Bernard, three sons
Keith M. Bernard and his fiancé Tricia J. Creamer of Worcester, Charles L.
"Chad" and Matthew P. Bernard both of Spencer, a daughter Karen L. Barszcz
and her husband Steven of Spencer, his mother Mary A.(Gentile) Riordan of
Worcester, two grand children Zackery W. and Jacob R. Barszcz both of
Spencer, two brothers Robert Bernard and his wife Dianne of Spencer, and
Dale R. Bernard of Worcester, two sisters Denise R. Ingerman and her husband
Robert of Plainview, N.Y., and Diane M. Dwyer and her husband Bruce of
Woonsocket, R.I., several nieces and nephews.
Paul was a self employed real estate developer and owner of P.C.M. Homes. He
was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He graduated from South High School in Worcester, and was a former member of
the Knights of Columbus in Leicester. He was a member and treasurer of the
Stiles Lake Water District, and Christ Episcopal Church in Rochdale. He was
born in Worcester, the son of the late Raymond C. Bernard.
Paul enjoyed his residence on Stiles Lake, boating, music, campfires and
especially being with his family.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 10a.m. in Christ
Episcopal Church, 1089 Stafford St., Rochdale section of Leicester. Burial
will follow in Greenville Baptist Cemetery, Rochdale. Calling hours at the
J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer are Tuesday, Dec.
5 from 4 to 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ
Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 142, Rochdale, Ma. 01542.
