Brother in law of Violet (Ferrini) Petrone, Sister Sharon Burns RSM and Sister Yolanda Burns, RSM. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 580 Monponsett St. Halifax, MA, Friday November 17th at 9am. Burial at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Obituary Information
Edward J. Petrone, Sr. died Friday at his home in Middleboro with his loving wife of 37 years Geraldine by his side. He was born in Providence, RI, the son of the late Nicholas L. and Augusta (Lamantia) Petrone. He was a graduate of Avon HS class of 1950 and attended Boston College. He had been a resident of Avon, Brockton and West Bridgewater for 40 years before retiring to Oak Point in Middleboro. Mr. Petrone enjoyed a career as a Purchasing Manager at Quinn Freightlines and Cummins Diesel, was a photographer for many local weddings and retired in Real Estate where he sat on the Board for WestWind 2, a resort timeshare. He enjoyed traveling to the Bahama’s and took many cruises while enjoying his retirement. Most importantly, Edward enjoyed his family, watching his children, 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild grow.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years Geraldine (Burns) (Courtemanche) Petrone, his seven children Dennis of WA, Jack of Rehoboth, Edward, Jr. of Superior, CO, Raymond of Florida, Gregg of Valley Ctr, CA., Michael Courtemanche of W. Bridgewater and Diane (Courtemanche) Stockbridge of E. Taunton, his sister in laws Violet (Ferrini) Petrone of Brockton, Sister Sharon Burns RSM, and Sister Yolanda Burns, RSM both of Baltimore, MD, his 19 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was the brother of the late Atty. Nicholas Petrone and Raymond Petrone
