Paul D. Hankinson III, 27, of Black Lick, PA passed away on Friday, November 6, 2026.
The son of Jamie L. (Sturgeon) Hillegas and Paul D. Hankinson II, he was born on July 30, 1999 in Indiana, PA.
He worked at Advanced Carbide Grinding in Derry, PA.
Paul was known for his kind and gentle heart, always willing to lend a helping hand or go out of his way to do something for anyone in need.
He shared a special bond with his best friend and faithful companion, his beloved dog, Hercules.
Paul found great joy in spending time outdoors, especially fishing and tending to his large vegetable garden, which he took great pride in. These simply pleasures brought him happiness and reflected his love for the outdoors.
Paul is survived by his parents; Jamie Hillegas and fiance, Jeff Mayak of Johnstown, PA; his father, Paul D. Hankinson II; his sister, Brittney Hankinson; his brother, Koltin Dugan and his niece, Ember Bates, all of Windber, PA; his aunt and uncle, Avanell and Homer Adams of Black Lick, PA and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Paul was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Paula Shearer and Duane Sturgeon and his paternal grandfather, Paul D. Hankinson I.
Family and friends will be received from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA, where an 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2026. Interment will be at East Mahoning Cemetery, Purchase Line, PA.
