Theresa A. (Charron) Mitrowski, age 78, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2026 at Day Brook Village Senior Living Center in Holyoke. She was born on February 27, 1948 in Springfield, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Roland and Lillian (Asselin) Charron. Theresa worked at Teddy Bear Pools for many years before she retired. Terry enjoyed painting, photography, art and collecting all sorts of treasures. She displayed her love of photography and Holyoke in her beautiful photographs and paintings of notable landscapes throughout the city. This eventually led to her volunteering at Wistariahurst Museum in Holyoke where she also won awards for her art.
Theresa was also an extraordinary gift giver! She was very thoughtful and always took the time to handwrite her cards and well wishes in her perfect cursive, even when she wasn’t feeling her best.
Theresa is survived by her beloved husband, James P. Mitrowski of Holyoke; one son, Matthew Mitrowski and his wife Nora Hamel Mitrowski of Chicopee. She is predeceased by her brother Michael Charron, her sister Lorraine Bernier and her beloved cat Bella.
Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Friday, November 13, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:00am at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Rose de Lima Church at 11:30am.
