Obituary

William F. Corbett, Sr., affectionately known as "BC," passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 82.

Born in Boston Massachusetts, in 1944, he was the son of Sylvina and Edson Corbett. William proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1965. Following his military service, he pursued a career as a professional race-car driver and earned his living as a mechanic. A talented and resourceful man, he had a remarkable ability to repair just about anything. He later became a truck driver for Shaw's Supermarket and was a proud member of the Teamsters Local Union 653. He was known for his blunt opinions, dry humor, stubbornness, and never shy about saying what he thought. But, beneath it all he had a generous heart.

William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lorna J (Urbanowicz) Corbett.
Together, they shared more than 55 years of life in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, building a lifetime of memories.

He leaves behind his three children: Anmarie (Corbett) Sebastyn and her husband, Joseph W. Sebastyn, of Whitman, Massachusetts; Michelle (Corbett) Roberts and her husband, Kenneth J. Roberts, of Fort Myers, Florida; and William F. Corbett, Jr., of Rockland, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his three siblings, Marjorie (Corbett) Romano, John Corbett, and Kathleen Corbett; his four cherished grandchildren, Aaron J. Sebastyn, Hunter W. Sebastyn, Chloe J. Roberts, and Devon E. Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial / Celebration of life for William Corbett, Sr., will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Enterprise Club, located at 224 Clinton Street, Brockton, Massachusetts.
