Luis E. Rivera Sr., age 52, passed away on October 7, 2026. He was born on November 10, 1973 in Newark, NJ, son of the late Marino and Adelaida (Gonzalez) Rivera. Luis spent most of his career as a Master Mechanic. He is survived by three sons, Luis Rivera Jr and his wife Amber of Northampton, Nathaniel Rivera and his partner Sarah Campbell of East Longmeadow and Jacob Rivera of Fort Worth, Texas; four daughters, Allyssa Kemp and her husband Ryan of Chicopee, Jenei Rivera and her partner Nathan Nuon of Lowell, Mia Rivera of Lowell and Amelia Rivera of Springfield; two brothers, Benjamin Rivera and his partner Greishka Brown of Northampton and Gabriel Rivera of Springfield; two sisters, Lisa Rivera of Hadley and Jessie Correa of New Jersey; 13 grandchildren, Savannah Rivera, Caleb Kemp, Ella Kemp, Nathaniel Rivera Jr., Juliette Kemp, Myles Rivera, Lia Rivera, Rory Kemp, Jackson Rivera, London Rivera, Grayson Rivera, Remi Rivera and Esme Nuon. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026 from 8:00 – 9:00 AM at the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by an in-house Prayer Service at 9:00 AM.
