Obituary

Linda Marie (Saulnier) Coles, 76, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, surrounded by the comfort and love of her family.

Born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, on August 18, 1950, she was the cherished daughter of Louis (Lou) and Rose (LeBlanc) Saulnier. On July 9, 1972, Linda married the love of her life, Judge Robert “Bob” Coles, beginning a beautiful journey together. Prior to her retirement, she spent a devoted career caring for others as a dental hygienist.

Family was the center of Linda’s world. She and Bob shared 54 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. She was a devoted mother to Brenda, Terri, and Dan, and she took pride in watching their families grow. Becoming a grandmother and great-grandmother brought joy to her life, and she treasured the time she spent with them.

A woman of quiet faith and immense generosity, Linda believed deeply in enriching the lives of those around her. Throughout her life, she selflessly supported charitable organizations and causes close to her heart.

One of Linda’s happiest places was the family camp on the lake. It was a place where decades of memories were made with family and friends.
An avid swimmer, weather permitting, Linda would swim across the lake. When she could not be in the lake, she headed to the gym to enjoy her time in the pool.

Linda loved music and dancing and always looked forward to outdoor summer concerts. At home, she enjoyed sewing, crafting, and working on puzzles. She was an avid reader who collected books over the years and loved browsing book sales, antique shops, flea markets, and consignment stores for her next special find. She had an eye for treasures from the past, and her collections included antiques, brooches, quilts, picture frames, wood figurines, and vintage CorningWare.

Family members include her husband, Judge Robert “Bob” Coles; their three children, Brenda & Ron Wade, Terri Coles, and Dan & Cecile Coles; her six grandchildren, Kyle, Brooke, Trevor, Emily, Brandy, and Devin; and six great-grandchildren. Also, close to Linda’s heart was Misty, who considers Linda & Bob her mom and dad.

Linda is survived by her siblings, Donna and Randy Wood, Alan and Janice Saulnier, Philip Saulnier, Brian and Kris Saulnier, and Carol Saulnier, along with several nieces and nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Louis (Lou) and Rose Saulnier, and her grandson, Kyle Wade.
