DUDLEY – Virginia E. (Cox) Teguis, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Peter W. Teguis, who died in 2013.
She is survived by her two sons, Daniel C. Teguis of Webster and Matthew P. Teguis and his wife, Daphne, of Dudley; four grandchildren, Alexander, Melina, Jordan and Demi Teguis; nieces Melinda Cox and Faith Shannon; and nephew Corey Teguis. She was predeceased by her sister, Janice Pratillo.
Virginia was born on April 23, 1943, in Worcester, the daughter of Robert and Olga (Ustinovich) Cox. She graduated from Classical High School in 1961 and earned her bachelor’s degree from the former Annhurst College in Woodstock, CT.
Mrs. Teguis was a business teacher at Shepherd Hill Regional High School for many years before retiring.
Her family, especially her grandchildren, meant everything to her. She
treasured summers spent with them on Webster Lake and enjoyed capturing memories through photography.
Services will be held privately. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
