Obituary

Robin A. Erickson Potter, 72, of Westport peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 with her family by her side. She was the wife of Jonathan H. Potter, Jr.

Robin was born in San Francisco, CA daughter of the late Robert D. "Pops" Erickson and the late Georgianna B. (Carreiro) Erickson and had resided in Westport for most of her life. Always a Daddy's girl, she gained a passion for flowers from her beloved late father's beautiful gardens. This inspired her to open Erickson's Florist in Westport which she owned/operated for the last 46 years. Her dedication to her work was easily seen not only in the beautiful floral pieces she created, but through the countless relationships she cultivated along the way. When you entered Robin's flower shop, you were not just a customer of hers, you were a friend.

Robin's family meant everything to her. Whether it was a cookout in the backyard, a camping trip on the Cape or the many cruises and trips she and her family took to Europe, she was happiest when they were all together. Her contagious laugh could be always be heard when they were near.

Her faith was a big part of her life and she always began her day with saying good morning to God. She believed in the power of prayer and would never hesitate to give someone a word of encouragement while reciting one of her favorite bible verses: Through God, all things are possible.

Survivors along with her husband include her 2 children; Shane D. Erickson Potter of Swansea and Svea R. Erickson Potter of Westport; her 2 brothers: Robert P. Erickson OH and Raitt P. Erickson NY; 2 grandsons: Logan D. Erickson Potter and Beckam J. Erickson Potter, both of Swansea; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Beacon Hospice for the compassionate care they gave to Robin.
