
Johnnie Lee Walker, 85, of Lenox passed away Friday, October 2, 2026, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2026, at Lakeview Baptist Church in Lenox with the Rev. Rodney Peavy officiating. A eulogy and message will be given by his son-in-law, Michael Lee. Mr. Walker will be laid to rest at Lakeview Baptist Church Cemetery in Lenox. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Lakeview Baptist Church in Lenox.
Jason Walker, Colson Lee, John Henry Walker, Daniel McMillian, Jameson Gaddis, and Jeffery Pinkney will serve as pallbearers.
Born September 30, 1941, in Lenox, Mr. Walker was the son of the late John Chesley Walker and Betty Mae Kerr Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Smith Walker and one sister, Helen Sue Walker Beard. He retired from AT&T and he was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Lenox, where he served as a deacon and he was an active member of the church choir. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time and volunteered at the Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina for 15 years. He also served in the Georgia National Guard.
Left behind to cherish Mr. Walker’s memory is his daughter and son-in-law Jody (Michael) Lee of Valdosta; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason (Shannon) Walker of Lenox; his grandchildren, Colson (Kelly) Lee of Valdosta, Mary Margaret (Daniel) McMillian of Valdosta, Sarah (Jameson) Gaddis of Atlanta, John Henry Walker of Athens, Summer Walker (Jeffery) Pinkney, and Olivia (Marvin) Calderon; and his great-grandchildren, Addie Lee, Miles Lee, Lainey Lee, Juliette McMillian, Charlotte McMillian, Emory Pinkney, and George Gaddis.
