Arthur Rezendes, 99, of Westport, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Catholic Memorial Home. He was the husband of the late Alice (Arruda) Rezendes, they shared 71 years of marriage.
Mr. Rezendes was born in Fall River, son of the late Francisco and Flora (Santos) Rezendes and had resided in Westport since 1956. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Prior to retirement, he worked as an architectural estimator for CCI Woodwork Co.
Survivors include his 3 sons: Thomas A. Rezendes of Westport, Robert J. Rezendes and his wife Mary Jane of Fall River and John Rezendes of Westport; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Frank Rezendes, Edward Rezendes and Lawrence Rezendes.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Interment to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
